CONSTITUTION OF LIGHT HOUSE ACAPPELLA
PREAMBLLE
As a guide to our activities as singers this constitution is written for mass acappella group. Guidance from the Holy Scriptures and the S.D.A. church manual however supersede the content of this constitution.
NAME OF ORGANIZATION
The name of this group will be called THE LIGHT HOUSE ACAPPELLA
AIMS OF GROUP
To the Adventist church has been given many talents among these is singing. The usefulness and achievements of music in the Christian Church from time immemorial cannot be over emphasized. It has been used by both God and man in communicating messages of salvation to men. It has always been an effective tool in worship, evangelism, education and in creating various emotional states in people. Despite its immense benefits and blessings, in every age, church music has never been without a problem.
Our aims are as follows;
First, to reveal the importance of the use of the human voice in singing sacred songs. Second, to present an effort in alleviating some of the problems of singing in our churches, homes, and schools.
Also to help members and singing groups to stay on track and to help them achieve their goals.
More so to help members to develop their talents for the proclamation of the gospel in songs, and to promote physical, social and spiritual development of members.
MEANS OF ACHIEVING OUR AIMS
Through prayers, bible studies, lectures and practice. Also through voice training.
QUALIFICATIOINS AND REQUIREMENTS
All acappella singers whether in group or not are eligible to join this group. Persons who wish to achieve with us our goals are also invited to join.
There shall associate and honorary members like pastors, elders, music directors and all church members who wish to be patrons of this group.
DISCIPLINE
Every act that tarnishes our image as Adventist singers must be avoided by all members.
Holiness, comportment and punctuality should be encouraged among members.
Lateness and absenteeism shouldn’t be seen among members.
Members should be modest in their dressing and everything they do.
GENERATION OF FUNDS
Each member is to pay One Ghana Cedi every month as his dues. Patrons and any one who wishes to help may also be of help.
PRACTISE DAYS AND TIME
First Sabbath of every month from 3pm to 5pm
OFFICERS
There shall be officers who positions will be occupied by members of good stand. They include;

MUSIC MASTER
TREASURER AND ASSISTANT
PUBLIC RELATION OFFICERS
WELFARE DIRECTORS
CHAPLAIN
PORTERS
FUNCTION OF OFFICERS
PRESIDENT
Shall see to the well being of members and singing groups.
Also a general supervisor for the group.
Must represent and be a spokesman for the group.
The president’s term of office will be four years
VICE PRESIDENT
Responsible for general administrative work.
Planning of programmes.
Deputy for the president.
SECRETARY
Shall keep accurate records of the group and put down minutes of meetings.
Make announcement during meetings.
ASSISTANT SECRETARY
Deputy to the secretary.
TREASURER
Keep account of the group’s money.
ASSISTANT TREASURER
Source for funds for the group.
PUBLIC RELATION OFFICERS
See to the execution of all public related activities.
They are also the liaison officers.
MUSIC MASTER
Lead practise and song rehearsal.
See to it that singers improve their knowledge in singing and music.
CHAPLAIN
Shall see to the spiritual welfare of members.
Also the spiritual leader of the group.
PRAYER BAND
Shall pray frequently for the group and on individual request.
HOW TO MOBILIZE OURSELVES
In trying to organize ourselves most members will be contacted on phone. Much will as well depend on the PRO.
All invitations should be given to the liaison officer.
ACQUISITION OF CONSTITUTION
Every member will be given a copy of the constitution.
The constitution is subject to change anytime the need arises.
